Mortumeri (singular is mortumera) are quite different from most other species on Terra. They are bipedal, like saurs, elves, ailurs, humans, orcs, ornirs, and dwarves, and they are digitigrade, like ornirs and most dragons. They have fur, like ailurs, and are carnivorous, like ailurs, dragons, dwarves, and orcs. They have tails, like ailurs, ornirs, and dragons. However, that's where the similarities end, mostly. Mortumeri have three pairs of eyes - the foremost see infrared, the middle pair sees normally, and the backmost pair sees magickal auras. Their tails are prehensile and much like that of an ailur's in terms of structure. Their ears are long and pointed, pointing backwards. Their head shape is alikened to a cross between a Tyrannosaurus Rex and a Bengal Tiger. They have sharp teeth and claws on their hands and feet. They have four toes, with which they can grab things. They also have four arms, and on each hand four fingers. They can hold their arms close together to make it seem as if they only have two arms. The alphas of the species have feathered wings. These wings are several times the length of a mortumera's height, and can be used to not only fly, but also protect the mortumera. The species is fully hermaphroditic, so they have no gender.

Young adulthood: 15-20 years old
Adulthood: 21-200 years old

Other: keen smell and sight. Very emotional. Strong connection to magick. Apex predator. Can sense emotions. Can use conventional language articulation, or can also use feral growls, grunts, purrs, whistles, trills, moans, et cetera to communicate. Their native language utilises the latter.

Mortumera litters usually consist of three eggs.
They have an internal pouch in their stomach area in which they carry the eggs of their young. This pouch can carry up to three eggs, though it will make the mortumera look, as a human would perceive it, pregnant. Sometimes used to house their young when they are newly born, as well.
